A Visit to Ubud ...
Had a wonderful conversation this afternoon with a client from Singapore who had recently visited Bali. She brought back all the incredibly wonderful memories of my own trip to Bali a few months ago. We chatted about Seminyak and, especially Ubud. She plans to visit again in the Spring, so I could not help but mention the great time I had while in Ubud. Although Ubud is not located along the coast and the beaches, it offers a diversity of sights and experiences from the temples to the Monkey Forest. Visiting the Monkey Forest is incredible, wild monkeys rove this entire area, where you can experience them up close. And, by up close, I mean really, really up close! Although they are cute and interesting, make sure you are careful as they have be known to become aggressive. In fact, one went for my water bottle and ended up grazing my arm. Thankfully, it was just a graze and after a visit to the Park Medic and some antiseptic, I was on my way again.
When I was in Ubud, we stayed at a small guest house with several rooms and a pool. It is called Jiwah's Guest House and I thoroughly enjoyed staying there. I would probably recommend the deluxe or pool side bungalows! Breakfast each morning by the pool was good and we enjoyed the warm welcome from Jiwah. I would stay at Jiwah's again.
In fact, one of my pieces had sparked the initial conversation with my customer. It is a collage of images from Bali, which focuses on some of the best things in Bali ... the people, the scenery and the culture.
Bali Beautiful - A collage of images featuring the beautiful scenery, people and culture of Bali.
