Life is a Journey
Already the first month of the new year has passed. As many of you know, one of my passions is to travel and explore the world. If you were not immediately aware of this, then by reviewing images on my site will quickly indicate that I have been a round a bit.
Often, when I encounter new people and begin to talk about travel, I am asked what is my favourite place. This has always been a difficult question to answer. For me, travel is not just about a place. It is more about the experiences that I have. It is the people I meet, the feelings I encounter, the foods I taste.
To me, travel is about the journey. I do enjoy seeing famous places of interest and learning a little about the local way of life. The more I travel, the more I think travelling is also like the 'journey of life'. The every day experiences help shape who we are and where we are going. It is the times we spend with friends and family sharing the little moments that all add up to something grand in the end: A life well lived.
Recently, I had to say good bye to a little some one very dear to me: my four-legged furry friend, Pebbles. She was a great companion and member of the pack. Her journey saw her as part of our home for over six years. It has been incredibly sad to say good bye to her. However, I do believe she had a great journey and a life well lived.
